Catherine Wenuk co-owns Sandy Hill Construction, a residential home renovation company, in Ottawa, Canada. She is the Chief Financial Officer and the Office Administrator. Cathy’s background is in law. She obtained her B.A., LLB in Alberta, Canada. She was in private practice until joining the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) as in-house counsel. She was appointed as a member of the Refugee Division and sat on both the Refugee and the Appeals Divisions.
Cathy is committed to several humanitarian causes. She is on the Board of Directors of Horizons of Friendship (www.horizons.ca) a Canadian NGO working with partners in Central America and Mexico. She is the International Co-ordinator of Sripuram - an organization supporting community development in Southern India (www.snhrc.org). She is on the board of directors of Gift of Hope for Children Society (www.drdogproject.com) based in Victoria, Canada.
